Safari in Samburu-filling the gap

Samburu National reserve comes very high in Kenya safari parks list. It is a  home to some great wildlife species, not seen in any other parts usually visited. One of such species is the Gerenuk, the long-necked antelope that actually fills the gap in this reserve. The Giraffe feed from the highest levels, and the Gerenuku feeds from the mid level. These two would then be feeding from the same bushes, different levels and little if any competition.

Long neck and standing on its two helps this gerenuk fill the gap between high and low browsers
